Singing Revealed

Accessibility Statement

Last updated: August 17, 2026

Singing Revealed Inc. ("we", "us" or "our") is committed to making singingrevealed.com usable by as many people as possible, including singers who browse with a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, rely on captions, or need larger text. This page describes where the site stands today: what we have done, what we know is still incomplete, and how to reach a person if something blocks you.

OUR COMMITMENT

We build this site so that its content is perceivable, operable, understandable and robust — the four principles behind the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). When we add a page, a course or a lesson, accessibility is part of the build rather than a later cleanup.

Singing is taught through sound and demonstration, so we pay particular attention to the parts of this site that carry meaning in audio or video, and to giving you another way to reach that material when the media itself does not work for you.

CONFORMANCE STATUS

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines define requirements for improving accessibility for people with disabilities, at three levels: A, AA and AAA.

singingrevealed.com is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. The parts we know about are listed under "Known limitations" below.

WHAT WE HAVE DONE

Measures in place across the site today:

  • Pages are built from semantic HTML — headings in order, real lists, and page regions — so assistive technology can navigate the structure rather than guess at it.
  • Every field in our contact form sits inside its own label, and the course search and filter controls carry text labels for assistive technology.
  • Interactive controls, including the mobile menu button, have accessible names instead of icon-only markup.
  • Images that carry meaning have text alternatives.
  • Text and background colour combinations are checked against the WCAG AA contrast thresholds. Our most recent automated pass over the site’s main pages, at four screen widths from 390px to 1024px, returned no low-contrast text findings.
  • Layouts reflow down to small phone widths without forcing horizontal scrolling.
  • Navigation, menus and forms are built from standard elements that can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone.
  • Links are underlined as well as coloured, so they do not depend on colour vision to be recognised.

KNOWN LIMITATIONS

We would rather tell you what is unfinished than claim more than we can support. As of the date above, we know about the following:

  • Video. Lessons and previews are delivered through third-party players (YouTube and Vimeo). Caption availability and player controls depend on those services and on the individual video; not every video has a reviewed caption track yet.
  • Blog and course content. Articles and course descriptions are written and published by our team through WordPress. Older posts may contain images without text alternatives, or headings used for visual emphasis rather than structure.
  • A small number of legacy and decorative images do not yet carry reviewed alt text.
  • Checkout and member area. Purchases and course delivery run on Kajabi, a third-party platform we do not control. Its accessibility is governed by that provider.
  • Pages not yet assessed individually. Our automated checks cover the site’s main static pages. Individual course pages, blog articles and category pages are generated from templates and have not yet been reviewed one by one.
  • No independent audit. The assessment behind this statement is our own, described below. It is not an external expert review, and it has not yet included testing with people who use assistive technology daily.

HOW WE ASSESSED THIS SITE

Singing Revealed Inc. assessed the accessibility of this site by self-evaluation. Our process combines automated checks run against the built site — covering text contrast, layout reflow, image handling and markup structure — with manual review of keyboard operation and screen-reader labelling whenever we build or change a page. We have not commissioned an external accessibility audit.

COMPATIBILITY WITH BROWSERS AND ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY

The site is built to work with current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on desktop and mobile, used together with the assistive technology built into those platforms. It may not display or behave correctly in browsers more than two major versions old.

Accessibility here relies on HTML, WAI-ARIA, CSS and JavaScript. If JavaScript is turned off, some interactive parts — such as the course search and filter — will not work.

TELL US ABOUT A PROBLEM

If something on this site blocks you, please tell us. It helps if you describe the page, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you were using, because that lets us reproduce the problem quickly.

By email: [email protected]

By phone: (435) 767-8081

We aim to respond within five business days. If a fix will take us longer than that, we will tell you where it stands and offer you the content another way in the meantime — a transcript, a plain-text version, or a walkthrough by email or phone.

CHANGES TO THIS STATEMENT

We review this statement whenever we make significant changes to the site, and at least once a year. Any update is posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
